HSFB Goes Red in February!
Through the American Heart Association, National Wear Red Day® is recognised on the first Friday in February in the United States and in many other countries across the globe. On this day, all are invited to wear red to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease and help save lives. Why? Because losing even one woman to cardiovascular disease is too many.
The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados Inc. has been a part of this Go Red Movement since 2012 and extends the awareness to the entire month of February and not just a single day.
We invite Barbados to Wear Red on the Fridays in February (4, 11, 18 and 25) and use the opportunity to learn more about cardiovascular disease, cardiac rehabilitation and more!
We are also inviting persons to participate in other ways apart from wearing red by:
- Decorating your offices in Red for the month of February
- Sharing something Red to eat on Fridays (e.g. apples/strawberries)
- Sharing a photo of all those who wore something Red on your webpage/social media platforms. Include hashtags #HSFBGoesRed #WearRedFridays and #KnowYourRisk when you share your pix!
