The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados, CEO Mrs. Fiona Anthony CEO - Mrs. Fiona Anthony relocated from the UK to Barbados in 2003 after a 10-year career in the National Health Service in the UK as a Senior Physiotherapist specializing in the rehabilitation of patients with complex medical problems, particularly heart disease and stroke. Fiona’s career to date has formed a strong desire and passion to be able to contribute to the improvement of the health and well-being of the Barbadian population. Fiona holds a First Class Honours Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Manchester, UK and also holds an MBA with Merit from the University of Durham, UK. Read more...
The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Barbados, ECC Medical Director Dr. Anne-Marie Cruichshank ECC Medical Director - Dr. Anne-Marie Cruickshank entered the University of the West Indies, and graduated in 1992 with a MBBS ( Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery). She did her post graduate studies at the Cave Hill Campus and in 1997 received her M. Sc. ( Master of Science) specializing in Emergency Medicine, followed by a DM (Doctorate of Medicine) also in Emergency Medicine. Her association with the Heart Foundation of Barbados started in 1993 when she did the Basic Rescuer course. She became a Basic Rescuer Instructor in 2000, and in 2003 did the PALS provider course in the USA. Read more...
